Jeroen Bolk
Jeroen Bolk is the Chief Engineering & Start-Up Officer at Econic Technologies, where he leads scale-up and engineering strategy for deploying Econic’s renewable carbon catalyst technology into commercial assets.
Jeroen brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience in chemical engineering, operations, and technology development. After earning his MSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering, he began his career at Shell in 1997 as a Process Technologist supporting polyol production at their Pernis facility in The Netherlands.
Over the course of his career at Shell, Jeroen held senior technical and leadership roles within Shell Chemicals, spanning asset operations, process and product development, licensing, technology portfolio management and strategy. He supported key product areas including Ethylene Oxide, Ethylene Glycol, Ethoxylation, Styrene Monomer, Propylene Oxide, and Polyols. His roles included front-end project development and global responsibilities, ultimately serving as General Manager for the global SMPO and Polyols technology team based in Bangalore, India.
Jeroen has lived and worked in The Netherlands, Canada, Singapore, and India. He now brings his deep expertise to support Econic’s mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable, circular chemical industry through the use of CO₂-based polyols and CO2-based surfactants.
