Touchstone Innovations

Touchstone Innovations creates, builds and invests in pioneering technology companies and licensing opportunities developed from outstanding scientific research from the ‘Golden Triangle’, the geographical region broadly bounded by London, Cambridge and Oxford.

Since becoming a public company in 2006, Innovations has raised more than £440 million of equity from investors, which has enabled it to invest in some of the most exciting spin-outs to come out of UK academic research. In addition, the Group has agreed £80.0 million in loan facilities from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

Between Innovations’ admission to AIM (August 2006) and 31 July 2016, Innovations has invested a total of £306.7 million across its portfolio companies, which have collectively raised investment of £1.5 billion.


Jetstream Ventures

Jetstream Capital

Jetstream Ventures is a Nashville-based fund focused on long-term investment in private companies using technology to achieve environmental and social impact. Founded as the venture arm of Jetstream Capital, the family office of Joel and Holly Dobberpuhl, the firm invests in early- and late-stage companies across clean tech, sustainability and for-profit social enterprise. The firm’s principals draw on over 25 years of experience in fund management, principal investing, and conservation philanthropy in offering strategic insight to their portfolio companies. In 2013, Jetstream partnered with Innovations to invest in Econic.


Norner Verdandi

Norner Verdandi is the technology commercialisation branch of Norner, a specialist provider of consultancy and technological services to the polymer industry.

Norner is based in Norway and employs over 70 expert staff and possesses a comprehensively equipped scientific lab, delivering support for the whole plastic and packaging value chain.


Woodford Investment Management

Woodford Investment Management was established in 2014 as an opportunity for Neil Woodford, one of the UK’s most highly-regarded fund managers, to focus his 30 years of experience and learning into a business. As well as investing in startups, such as Econic, Woodford manages equity mutual funds and invests in the public equity markets.

Woodford’s focus is on successful long-term management of investment and their assets have grown steadily since their launch to £14.8bn, boosted by support from a range of investors.
